Buying Guide
As summer approaches, you will find trampolines being installed in backyards and gardens in the neighborhood, and your kids will be baying for one if you already have not bought them a trampoline. Buying a trampoline is unlike buying other kids toys not just because it is way more ex
pensive than regular toys, but because making the wrong decision can prove to be risky for your kids. When you go to buy a kids’ trampoline, however, you will find that the market place is flooded with all kinds of shapes
and sizes. So how do you select the right kind of kids’ trampoline?

The Right Shape: Kids’ trampolines come in rectangular, square, circular and octagonal shapes.
Rectangular trampolines generally have a large number of springs and are more bouncy than round ones. However, a circular or round trampoline is more suitable for smaller children because they keep driving the user towards the center, thus reducing the risk of falling off. Octagonal kids’ trampolines also offer a controlled yet higher bounce.
The Right Size: Having a larger trampoline should not mean that all the kids use it at the same time.
Since safety experts advise that only one kid should use a trampoline at a time, decide on the size based on the amount of clear, open area that you have for placing the kids’ trampoline instead of taking this decision based on the number of kids that you have.
The Right Accessories: An enclosure is more of a necessity than
an accessory when you are buying a trampoline for kids. Most retailers
selling kids’ trampolines include the enclosure in the cost of the
trampoline.
Apart from getting an enclosed trampoline, you should also ensure that the frame is stable and that there are no crevices where fingers or feet might get caught. If you live in an area that often sees summer showers, then investing in a slip proof trampoline canvas may prove to be a sound decision.
A trampoline is a great way to make sure that kids exercise while having fun at the same time. Seems like a win-win situation.
